The end of the safari
Diani is white sand and warm water an hour south of Mombasa. After a week of early starts and dusty vehicles, three or four nights here is the difference between a good trip and a holiday.
The reef means swimming is safe and the water is calm almost every day.
When should I come?
The best months are shown on every destination card. In broad terms the dry seasons — January to February and June to October — are easiest, but the green season has fewer people, lower rates and better light.
How long do I need here?
Three nights is the minimum worth doing. Two nights means one full day, and travel days on either side.
Can I combine it with somewhere else?
