About Rwanda
Rwanda does the same trek as Uganda with less driving and more comfort, at roughly twice the permit price. Whether that trade is worth it depends on how much time you have and how you feel about a long road day. Kigali is an easy place to land, and the lodges below the Volcanoes are among the best on the continent.

When should I come?
The best months are shown on every destination card. In broad terms the dry seasons — January to February and June to October — are easiest, but the green season has fewer people, lower rates and better light.
How long do I need here?
Three nights is the minimum worth doing. Two nights means one full day, and travel days on either side.
Can I combine it with somewhere else?
