Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your Kenya safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Drive through the beautiful Kenyan highlands before descending into the Great Rift Valley. Stop at a scenic viewpoint for panoramic views across the valley before continuing through Narok and the Maasai countryside towards the Maasai Mara.
Arrive at your lodge or camp around lunchtime and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first exciting game drive.
The afternoon opens the door to the Mara's spectacular wildlife. Search the golden grasslands for lion. cheetah. elephant. giraffe. buffalo. zebra and wildebeest.
As the afternoon light softens over the savannah your guide will look for the best wildlife sightings before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Maasai Mara
Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to the Maasai Mara.
After an early breakfast set off for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch.
Explore different areas of the reserve while your guide tracks wildlife and explains the behaviour of the animals and the ecosystem.
The Mara is particularly famous for its big cats. Keep your eyes open for lion prides and cheetahs hunting across the open plains. You may also encounter elephants. buffalo. giraffes. hyenas. hippos and large herds of zebra and wildebeest.
Depending on the season and wildlife movement you may explore areas around the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles can often be found. During the July to October migration period the Mara ecosystem can also provide opportunities to witness wildebeest movement and river crossings. Sightings are naturally dependent on wildlife and seasonal conditions.
Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Rift Valley · Rhino Country
Enjoy breakfast before departing for Lake Nakuru.
Travel through the Great Rift Valley and continue towards Nakuru.
After lunch head into Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is well known for its rhino population. Your guide will search the park for black and white rhinos along with Rothschild's giraffe. buffalo. zebra. waterbuck and other wildlife.
The lake also supports abundant birdlife. Flamingo numbers vary with water conditions and food availability so your guide will select the best areas for bird and wildlife viewing.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Naivasha
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha Boat Safari
Begin the day with an early breakfast then continues towards Lake Naivasha.
Arrive at Lake Naivasha and enjoy lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon experience one of the most relaxing activities of the safari: a boat safari on Lake Naivasha.
Cruise across the freshwater lake surrounded by beautiful Rift Valley scenery. Look for hippos in the water and a variety of waterbirds around the shoreline.
For an even more memorable experience you can add a guided walking safari on Crescent Island where wildlife can often be seen at close range without the need for a safari vehicle.
Alternatively you can visit Hell's Gate National Park for a walking or cycling experience among dramatic cliffs and open landscapes. Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate offer a refreshing change from traditional vehicle-based game drives.

Amboseli
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Rift Valley · Scenic Drive · Kilimanjaro Country
After breakfast depart Lake Naivasha and begin the journey towards Amboseli National Park.
This is one of the longer driving days of the safari but it allows you to experience the changing landscapes of Kenya as you travel from the Rift Valley towards the southern plains.
Pass through Nairobi and continue towards Amboseli and the Tanzanian border.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in the afternoon.
If time and park conditions allow enjoy an afternoon game drive in Amboseli.
Watch for elephants moving across the plains as Mount Kilimanjaro rises dramatically in the distance on clear days.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full-Day Amboseli National Park

Wake early for one of the most memorable experiences of your Kenya safari.
Set out for a sunrise game drive in Amboseli when wildlife is active and the morning light creates spectacular photographic conditions.
Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and beautiful views towards Mount Kilimanjaro.
Explore the park's open plains and wetland areas while searching for elephant. lion. buffalo. giraffe. zebra. wildebeest and many species of birds.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax.
After lunch head out again for an afternoon game drive.
As the sun begins to set over the Amboseli plains enjoy the spectacular combination of elephants. acacia trees and the mountain backdrop.
Return to your lodge for your final night on safari.

Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
