DAY 1: NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport. Meet your professional Duma Tours driver-guide and board your private 4x4 Land Cruiser.
Leave Nairobi behind and travel through the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Stop at the famous Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic views and photographs before continuing through Narok and the changing landscapes of southern Kenya.
Continue towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and some time to relax.
In the afternoon embark on your first Maasai Mara game drive.
As the afternoon light begins to soften the savannah comes alive. Watch for lions resting beneath acacia trees cheetahs scanning the plains elephants crossing the grasslands and herds of zebra and wildebeest moving across the horizon.
Your private vehicle gives you the freedom to spend more time at wildlife sightings and enjoy a safari experience tailored around your interests.

DAY 2: FULL DAY MAASAI MARA
A Full Day in Kenya's Wildlife Paradise
Wake up early to the sounds of the African wilderness.
After breakfast set out for a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara with a picnic lunch.
Today is all about wildlife.
Explore the rolling grasslands and riverine areas of the Mara while your experienced guide searches for the animals that make this destination one of Africa's most famous safari destinations.
You may encounter:
Lion Leopard Cheetah Elephant Buffalo Rhino Giraffe Zebra Wildebeest Hippo Crocodile Hyena Gazelles Numerous bird species
The Maasai Mara is particularly famous for its big cats and the annual wildebeest migration. During the migration season you may witness enormous herds moving through the ecosystem. River crossings are seasonal and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive.
Later in the afternoon return to your accommodation.
Spend the evening relaxing at your camp or lodge and enjoy dinner under the African sky.

DAY 3: MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU

Wake up early for one final opportunity to explore the Maasai Mara.
An early morning game drive gives you the chance to see wildlife when temperatures are cooler and many animals are active.
Return to your accommodation for breakfast before checking out.
Begin your journey north towards Lake Nakuru.
The landscape changes dramatically as you leave the Mara behind. Travel through the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park.
Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy lunch before heading out for a game drive.
Lake Nakuru is particularly known for its important black and white rhino populations as well as Rothschild's giraffe and diverse birdlife. Flamingo numbers vary according to lake conditions and water levels.
Continue exploring the park as the afternoon light creates spectacular views around the lake.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Arrive at your lakeside accommodation and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon experience one of the highlights of this safari:
Lake Naivasha Boat Safari
Cruise across the freshwater lake while watching hippos resting in the water and African fish eagles perched along the shoreline. The lake also attracts a wide range of water birds including herons cormorants and kingfishers.
For an additional experience you can visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes zebras wildebeest and antelope.
Alternatively you can explore Hell's Gate National Park where volcanic cliffs dramatic rock formations and open landscapes provide a completely different experience from the traditional game drive.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

A Relaxed Finish to Your Safari
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge and take some time to appreciate the peaceful surroundings of Lake Naivasha.
Depending on your departure time you may have the opportunity for a short nature walk or additional lakeside activity.
Depart Naivasha and travel back towards Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
Your Duma Tours driver-guide will drop you at your Nairobi hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
